Get Out of the Funk
Today is a funk day.
Today there is a cloud overhead that won’t go away.
Today, is a day to reach out for support.

This sense of sadness, zero motivation, and a sense of failure that flows throughout the energy in the home...

Laying on the couch, scrolling through TikTok, and zoning out the very children that need attention...

Why does this happen? Where is there help? I desperately want to get out.

There are a couple ways to help support your mental wellness when it comes to these types of feelings.

(Before I get started, please note that I am not a doctor and I do not diagnose or cure anything—If you have any of these strong feelings, it is advised to see a doctor right away)

  1. Slowly start talking positively to yourself.
This can be difficult, especially when you are in a funk or depressive episode. But the more you practice, the easier it gets.
2. Find a doctor or therapist that can be of extreme support.
This could look like medication or simply someone to talk to and have access to 24/7.
3. Get active.
Being active and moving your body, releases more of the “feel good” hormones in your brain. This will then cause happier and content feelings.
4. Talk to God.
This one is one of my favorites because He gives strength and peace like you couldn’t even imagine. Develop a relationship with Him and He will show up in places you never thought were possible.

My all-time favorite way to “get out of the funk” is by drinking Happy Juice. Now you may think this sounds crazy – so bear with me here.

This juice helps your gut/brain axis and your mental energy—releasing those happy hormones we talked about earlier.
This juice is something to help you “snap out of it”.

Meet Heather Martin

For years, I didn't feel like myself.

Even as I was putting a smile on everyday, I still felt like a helpless mother. It was really hard on me emotionally and had started to affect the rest of my family.

After having undiagnosed postpartum depression three times in three years-- I decided my fourth was going to be different. My research and what I had been through, helped immensely. I decided to start using some products from a company I know and trust while incorporating other things into my life.

The fourth trimester after my fourth baby was completely different. The first three pregnancies (fourth trimester) was very difficult--being fake, pretending to be happy, smiling, and laughing like I was okay.

Now, I am vibrant. I'm on a mission to help a lot of people break free and empower themselves with the knowledge and resources that I have learned during those years.
