5 Affirmations for a Positive Mindset
Is your mind on overload which creates poor self care?
You deserve to have that time for yourself and those positive thoughts.

What is an affirmation?
Affirmations are emotional support and encouragements. These are wonderful things to say to yourself to start your day off positive.
Many people don't understand that these thoughts or words can help change your mind set for the rest of your day. The words that you are saying or thinking become so natural that your mind starts to think them throughout your day.
You start to realize that you are worth more, deserve more, and accomplish more in a positive matter if your affirmations are said and done with yourself in mind.

Here are some examples of affirmations that you can say to yourself every morning to start your day off beautifully!

1.  Taking care of myself makes me a better mom. I give myself permission to do something to nurture me.

This is a great affirmation for busy and overwhelmed mothers. The first couple years of being a mother, I thought it would be selfish of me to take care of myself and doing something to nurture myself. This was a great affirmation that I started to say until I believed it and started acting upon it.

2. My family appreciates and loves me, even when they forget to tell me so.

Sometimes we feel like we are underappreciated as parents, when most of the time our children don't realize how to show appreciation. We need to understand that we may perceive things in a different light. Maybe our children and spouse show appreciation in a different way than we would like and that is okay. It is important to understand that you are appreciated more then you know.

3. Today I am enthusiastic, full of energy, brave, and I will make the most of today.

This affirmation says it all. We need to train our minds to think positive thoughts about ourselves. Once we do so, we will believe what we are saying and actually start feeling that way.

4. My thoughts are filled with positivity and my life is plentiful with prosperity.

We need to say this affirmation daily and even multiple times per day. Believing your thoughts are filled with positivity will create a better mindset.. a better view on perspective.. an all around better look on life.

5. I am a powerhouse; I am indestructible.

Do you feel this way on a daily basis? If not, then this is a great affirmation to start saying to yourself, daily.

Affirmations are a great way to start your day.
They help put your mind in a positive and beautiful place right from the beginning.
Some ways you can say do your affirmations in the morning is by looking in the mirror and talking to yourself or smelling an essential oil on your hands while thinking or saying the affirmation.
Sometimes parents don't have the time to do these things this way. So, get creative... say them while doing the breakfast dishes or while you are nursing a baby. No matter the way you do it, it is important to stay consistent and continue these on a daily basis.

Meet Heather Martin

The sterile scent of hospitals, the hushed, hopeful whispers, and the gnawing fear that lives in every waiting room – these became the unwanted backdrop of my life. It wasn't a single event, but a relentless series of challenges that slowly, profoundly, reshaped my understanding of health and ultimately, my purpose.

It began with my own daughter's cancer diagnosis. The helplessness I felt was amplified a thousandfold. As we navigated her treatment, I scrutinized every aspect of her care, seeking not just survival, but thriving. I began to ask different questions, looking beyond the conventional to see how diet, lifestyle, and a holistic approach could support her body through the immense challenges she faced.

Then, the world tilted on its axis with my beloved father. His terminal cancer diagnosis was a crushing blow, an unyielding reality that traditional medicine, for all its marvels, couldn't alter. We watched, we hoped, we grieved. In the midst of that raw pain, a seed of curiosity took root: Was there more to healing than what we were being told?

My own body then sent a jarring message. I experienced a hemiplegic migraine, an terrifying event that starkly mimicked stroke-like symptoms. The sudden loss of function, the fear, the uncertainty – it was a profound wake-up call. It forced me to confront my own health, which I had unconsciously neglected while caring for others. It was in that moment of vulnerability that I truly understood the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.

I realized then that I didn't just want to heal; I wanted to understand why we get sick and how to build true, resilient health from the ground up. I wanted to change the trajectory of my own life, and more importantly, my family's life, away from chronic illness and towards vibrant well-being.

This intense, personal journey ignited an unshakeable passion within me. I devoured knowledge, exploring functional nutrition, mind-body practices, and the profound impact of lifestyle on health. I became an integrative health practitioner because I couldn't keep this newfound understanding to myself. My deepest desire is to guide others through their own health challenges, to empower them with the knowledge and tools to create their own new beginnings, and to help them rewrite their family's health story, just as I've strived to do for my own. It's not just a profession; it's a calling born from love, loss, and a relentless hope for a healthier future for all.
